notice this happened when we gave them rights

Okay. No. No. No. The picture has a completely different message but that caption ^ above is just terrible. YOU DON’T REFER TO A GROUP OF PEOPLE AS “THEM” and African Americans did not start dropping their trousers down low because they were granted equal rights.
You can do math right? The trouser sagging trend started early 2000s. FIFTY YEARS after the Civil Rights movement so you can’t even say that “Equal rights made them sag their pants” since the time frame is so off. It’s not like “BOOM HEY GUYS WE GOT EQUAL RIGHTS! LET’S WAIT FIFTY YEARS OR SO AND THEN START SAGGING OUR PANTS BECAUSE WE HAVE RIGHTS!!!”
If you haven’t noticed there are plenty of WHITE-AMERICANS AND ASIAN AMERICANS AND OTHER AMERICANS AND OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE SAGGY PANTS TOO. IT’S NOT JUST “THEM.”

RACE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT A CULTURE HAS EVOLVED INTO. GIVEN YES, THE 1950S WAS A MUCH MORE CLASSY TIME WHERE PEOPLE DRESSED MUCH MORE NICELY. BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN ONLY AFRICAN AMERICANS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CRIME OF SAGGY PANTS.
In other words, rights has nothing to do with fashion trends and granting the African-American people rights definitely did not allow this pants-sagging to happen.
If you haven’t noticed, here’s the root of pants sagging:
-Prisoners in jail started sagging their pants down low to show that they “belonged” to certain people and were “easy” or so to say.
Stupid people thought that this was a trend among hardened criminals and adopted it themselves thinking they would look tough and dangerous as well.
Let the trend become mainstream, have a few musical artists adopt and glorify the trend as well and we have the development of another fad.
DO I SEE RIGHTS AT ALL INVOLVED IN THIS? NO. WELL SHUT UP.

I don’t care what race or gender you are, if your pants are sagging you have a low iq. I don’t care if the person is a genius, just GET. A. BELT.

After I learned what pants sagging means, I just sit back and watch and laugh my butt off. If I had to blame something for this, I would blame the 1920’s
